3 billion people still cook over smoky open fire, it is one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time. Smoke from this fire kills 4 million people annually specifically affecting women and children. This cooking fire produces more black carbons than all cars and trucks combined in the world. The resulting pollution from inefficient combustion of solid fuels in low-quality stoves operated in poorly ventilated kitchens is a mixture of particulate matter, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, formaldehyde, and benzene that significantly exceeds safe levels to humans. This is an urgent problem we have to solve.
The solution is designing and manufacturing Duna stove, which is clean, electricity-generating biomass cooking stove.it eliminates 90% of the smoke versus the traditional open fire and uses less than half of the fuel which also charges mobile phones and led lights.
The process is converting the heat energy to electrical energy by balancing the heat and cold to generate power. Duna stove promise to provide with one hour of cooking, four hours of electricity.
The need for Duna stove is undeniable, but it doesn’t mean gaining the trust of costumers will be easy. In accordance to this, we plan to work with refugee councils, cooperates, IDPs, NGOs, small and medium enterprises and government agencies for our sales and dissemination. With a unit COGS of $40, sales price $50. So our first-year production estimation is 4,619 products which will yield an estimated revenue of $384,917and $273,743 COGS and this will increase over the next three years making our revenue target of $2,362,618 and 44% net margin with COGS of $1,324,481.
We have tested prototypes, pending patent, we are about to do a pilot on 10 households and already have partners.
