with the increasing population in the world, more land is attributed to settlement than agriculture leading to less food for consumption. but, with aquaponics, which utilizes limited space and resources, it provides more leading to food security in the society. both plants and animals are grown to provide to this challenge. aquaponics uses less resources compared to conventional agriculture for example, 1000litres of water can grow 20kgs of fish and also sustain a variety of plant growth till maturity with a very high output. plants grow at a 2 times rate than conventionally grown plants thus providing reliable food to the society that is free from inorganic chemicaks that are in the long run harmful to the body of a human.
