About Solution

In the early years of the 21st century, rural_urban digital divide was a major challenge for inclusive trade and we have witnessed a rural world where 80% of rural farmers live below $1.5 per day,75% were uneducated, 98% were not connected to the internet, 99% did not have smartphones,80% were reluctant to modern technologies, 75% of rural farms were inaccessible and 80% of the rural world had no electricity.

Today, the trend has tremendously changed and according to the united nations statistics, over half of the world's population is connected to the internet, only 15% of the world's population is estimated to be without electricity while only 13% of the global population is incapable of basic reading and writing ,internet networks have reached 70% of the global population and out of the the approximately 7.7 billion world's population, 1 billion still live under $1.5 per day.

Digital agriculture has the potential to end hunger, extreme poverty and malnutrition by 2030 via increase productivity, cost efficiency and market opportunities, openness to information and trade inclusivity, digital connectivity, affordability, Improved ICT education and training ,increase use of internet, smartphones, social media, digital skills and global support for digital and agri_tech innovations.

The current pace of digitalization is highly geometric while trade,Markets, education and training ,skills and technology are going digital.

Rural communities can only increase their supply chains, knowhow and market opportunities through the integration of the digital economy which can guarantee their economic viability and sustainability, thus strengthening global food security.

Our solution address this challenge in two levels:

1)Creation of " Central African Agricultural Information Communication and commercial Avenue "(CAAICCA) which is an inclusive electronic platform where users(farmers, buyers and sellers) can publicize their products for sale and/or buy the posted produce across six central African countries (Cameroon, Chad,Gabon,Congo,CAR,Equatorial Guinea). The platform will connect rural farmers across central Africa to diverse supply chains, skills and market opportunities.

2)Rural sensitization on digital literacy and E_commerce.

During our working visit to Mbam,a typical rural village in Cameroon, Mr. Wallang Humphrey told us " We're serving a people food which we know they will not definitely eat.How many of them knows what is meant by digitalization, digital economy  or even internet?our people need physical sensitization  about digitalization".

Our solution is taking development and knowledge to the rural farmers electronically and physically .Our mobile wing will move across rural areas for grass route sensitization on digital literacy and opportunities, E_commerce and digital  platforms.
