Less privileged youths living on the streets (street kids) With reference to the topic, an issue that concerns me in my community or need i say country is the issue of the less privileged youths living on the streets (street kids). After trying to analyse and by applying the sociological imagination so as to know why and how the youths and kids end up living on the streets, many reasons came up including the poverty rates being high in my country and how badly some kids are mistreated by their parents or guardians (after their parents are deceased). Well the issue of street kids is not a new topic but it is sad to see their living conditions and how much potential some youths and kids have which is not fully utilised. Many people do help out the street kids by offering food and encouragement from time to time, but in as much as that is a good gesture, I am not in full support of aid that only gets people through the night. So I have come up with a non-profit making organisation called Chevalier Inc, and the general description of Chevalier Inc is that, it is an Innovative Driven Enterprise that aims to explore, identify and embrace the talents and abilities that youths (both privileged and less privileged) poses to produce revolutionary, positive and educative content in five (5) classes which include Natural Science, Social Science, Computer Science, Business and Art. I have developed a model or need i say plan to get people to donate and invest in the future of the less privileged youths living on the streets. The plan is to feed, cloth, shelter and Educate 150 less privileged youths every after one and a half year. By the term educate i do not mean in terms of schooling but rather helping the less privileged youths attain tacit knowledge and intelligently organise it into practical plans of action. Because I have come to an understanding that an educated person is not one with a lot of general or explicit knowledge but rather an educated person is one who has so developed the faculties of their mind that they may do or attain anything they want without violating the rights of others. I intend to partner with different stakeholders in government, religious bodies and educational institutions. I have also been in talks with different university students who have agreed to volunteer to help the less privileged youths in terms of facilitating the classes and just being there for them.
