it proposes measures African countries ( especially those in sub-Saharan Africa) can adopt in order to combat climate change and the negative impacts thus enhancing a reduction on over dependence on sources of energy that have greatly contributed to the depletion of the ozone layer, dependence on charcoal as fuel. sub-Saharan African countries are amongest the poorest countries in the world and among countries that have hit by the negative effects of climate change, majority of those affected are the uneducated, poor people who reside in rural areas and are dependent on agricultural as source of their income. grappling with severe corruption, hunger, high levels of unemployment and abuse of little resources available, inequality is at play. Hence this article proposes measures that when once adopted would bring about a positive impact in the fight against climate change, thus improving delivery of services such as employment, proper governance, fight against corruption and alleviate poverty levels. Among the many measures proposed in the article are; -investment in solar, wind and hydro-electric power sources,
fight corruption and illicit crimes, -proper waste management and improved use of available resources thus improving equitable resource distribution.
