CO2 anthropogenic emissions removal from atmosphere

Construction of carbon dioxide (CO2) deposition plants in the Antarctic for removing all human created CO2 from Earth’s atmosphere within 10 years. The Antarctic continent is the best environment on Earth for CO2 deposition. CO2 soild snow deposition begins at -79 C (133 K). There is not much effort needed to make it a bit cooler and to have CO2 snowfall as these observed on planet Mars.

Chamber size: 1000m x 50m x 50m = 25*10^5 m3. 4 Such facilities will give 10^6 m3

0.5m of snow is expected to be obtained each day.

Power for installation will be supplied by 2 nuclear power plants. Each 6GW

Based on movable chamber elements. Yearly cycle will be maintained.

CO2 production will take part during the winter while covering process

will require human work force and better weather conditions

Radiated heat can be used for the employee buildings. Also to create ice layer.

Narrow rock wall will work as stabilizer for construction and costly material saver. Buildings will be 1 up to 3km long. Buildings will be located at the sharp rock wall side. Glacier gives some free space near the walls. Deposits will be secured by two rocky sides and shaded partially from the sun. There is not much materials withstanding cold temperature-150 C) but aluminum alloy 7079-T6 could be used. Cost is US $1000-$3000 / Ton Wood also is an alternative. Elements should be constructed in reusable way. After each deposit is done walls will be moved up or to another location.  Two nuclear power plants suppling cooling systems compressors with energy are needed. Conventional, water-cooled, solid fuel, fission reactor will work fine. The air is cold enough to cool the reactor, so there is no need for water. Such a situation actually occurred when the US military used a small reactor to power Camp Century in Greenland. The reactor worked just fine. Rocky terrain should be used to store wastes. Preferably a cave.

Wind farms can be used to support main power system. A plato above the clifs will be used at final stage to cover the area in deep snow to trap CO2 deposit for thousand of years until the humanity will need it back when new ice age will start to build up/
