Conversion of Waste plastic into fuel

About Solution

Ladakh, being a cold desert experiences harsh winters. There's no central heating system and locals rely on firewood based heating system called bukhari, which is also used for cooking. The traditional Bukhari uses kerosene which is made available, in limited quantities, to the locals through army or Government Subsidiy Shops. With the help of the fuel produced through the plant, I want to reduce the dependence of locals on kerosene by providing them an alternative fuel, which is produced locally and is more eco
friendly than kerosene. This plant will help me significantly reduce the ecological footprint generated during the extraction, production and transportation of kerosene and also solve the problem of plastic pollution in the region. Through my social enterprise, I also wish to provide an alternative source of income to the ragpickers, who I believe are the unsung warriors of a better future, thus socially uplifting them.
