Dundiza was founded in 2019 and it aims to revolutinize and democratize the financial savings culture and behaviour of young people and women living in the marginalized communities of Tanzania by extending access to digital financial services in order to narrow the digital gap caused by low internet connectivity while ensuring to generate socioeconomic empowerment from digital financial savings.

Dundiza is a cloud-computing software as a service (SaaS) platform that enables young people and women living in marginalized communities of Tanzania to securely save their money and manage their money for free by using their mobile phones. The main goal of Dundiza is to extend access to internet connectivity and digital financial saving services to those who are less connected with the internet.

Dundiza addresses the misconception and misguided beliefs of financial savings and low internet connectivity of young people and women living in marginalized communities of Tanzania especially in Arusha and Kilimanjaro Regions. In Tanzania and Africa in general, most young people and women are misguided by the belief that in order for them to save money for a better future, then they need to have a lot of money or earn a lot of money in order for them to save money. This is because of lack of reliable and consistence public innovative cloud-computing software platforms that give young people and women in Tanzania the power to securely save their money and manage their own money using their own mobile phones.

Dundiza is addressing the above challenge by collaborating with youth organization and micro-financing institutions to organize capacity building and community engagement programs on digital literacy and financial savings to young people and women living in the marginalized communities of Arusha and Kilimanjaro Regions of Tanzania.

The capacity building and community engagement gives young people and women in Arusha and Kilimanjaro Regions the power to use their own mobile phones to extend access to digital financial saving services and the ability to access internet connectivity with the collaboration from existing Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) using the Application Programming Interface (API) in order to eradicate from poverty, achieve gender equality and improve economic growth providing them with the knowledge and opportunities on digital literacy.

This offline (USSD) and online collaboration technology between Dundiza and MNOs is very crucial in enabling young people and women in Tanzania to extend access to both internet connectivity and digital financial savings by the allowing young people and women in marginalized communities to access digital economy while reducing the existence of digital gap between the people living in rural areas and the ones living in urban areas.

Dundiza provides a free and autonomous cloud financial savings platform that is used by mobile phones, computers and tablets to utilize the digital savings culture and accessing internet connectivity. Dundiza is assisted by Application Programmning Interface (API) which helps or assists its users to securely make digital money transfer to a different mobile network operator for free while utilizing the Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide digital literacy through autonomous financial consultation and management by using their own mobile phones and other digital devices.

Dundiza applies a System Tool Kit (SIM) which is an integrated circuit that securely store the international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of the subscriber uniquely. The SIM is a unique application program technology that enables Dundiza to provide its users with a cloud-computing technology that is used for various digital financial services and loans to shorten the digital gap. The users of Dundiza are provided with a menu based application where they can enter the details to save their money for free.
