More than 60% percent of sub-Saharan African population are small holder farmers in rural areas. However Africa’s full potential in agriculture remains untapped.

While Agricultural inputs have played an important role in increasing food production over the years, the absence or inadequacy of farm machinery and technological innovations in rural areas has frustrated the efforts of farmers to commercialize agriculture for increased production of sustainable and healthy food to meet up with the demand of the growing population which is to be about 10 billion people by year 2050 globally.

Through a detailed research and feasibility study, We at Aondonakor Enterprises, an African-based crop production and farm machinery hiring Enterprise, believe that the key to sustainable and healthy food is the provision and use of technological innovations like agricultural drones and farm machinery to optimize the use of inputs (herbicides, seeds, fertilizers, water), to react more quickly to threats (weeds, pests, fungi), to validate treatments/actions taken, to improve variable-rate prescription in real time and estimate yield from field to enhance provision of equitable and affordable access to healthy food, thereby reducing waste and loss of food, hunger and malnutrition to create an efficient supply chain to the urban areas and further lift rural farmers out of poverty.
