not only to organize them and build their capacity in order to boost their incomes but also to develop a high quality and reliable supply for our target market
will serve as a barrier of entry, affording us the kind of credibility with the farmers and the target market that makes it difficult for new entrants or incumbents to penetrate our supply chain.
We also want to equip farmers with knowledge and skills in post-harvest handling to boost the quality of their fruits and vegetables in order to reduce post-harvest losses as well as offering the smallholders premium prices, in general 10-20% above the local market rate.
