Groundnut farming is a very lucrative business which will provide employment opportunities to youths and women. The northern Nigeria has a fertile land growing Groundnut but due the fact that Groundnut is not well marketed in my region and so farmers feel discouraged to plant cultuvate Groundnut for Global markets. My solution is an idea in the seed stage, to operate a Groundnut processing company where the local farmers from rural villages are encouraged to farm and produce large quantities of Groundnut and are being purchased by the company at best marketable price. Thus providing a sustainable source of income to farmers
The Groundnut processing company will employ youths and women in my locality as workers who will be trained on Groundnut oil and Groundnut cake production to meet the standards of the global market demand with a proper branding, packaging and quality. The major problem we are facing is rural exclusion, and farmers from rural villages are not given opportunities to present their products in a proper market, but once this company is in operation, it will provide an avenue for inclusive innovation for rural areas. This company will be operating as a social enterprise where 15% of profits made yearly will be giving out as a scholarship to sponsor the less privileged almajiri children and orphans resulting from organised crimes against humanity.
