GudieTV is an information dissemination and collection platform for hard to reach persons at the base of the pyramid in remote villages of Uganda. We collect, package and disseminate chronological multimedia agribusiness educational videos at village level weekly. The TV sells airtime to all who have products that target the smallholder farmers at village level to air alongside the educational videos. This can be the Government, politicians, agro inputs dealers, nucleus farmers, agriculture produce buyers, manufacturers, non-governmental organisations, development partners, research organisations, and organisations with products for farmers like banks, insurance companies, educational institutions and the like. The team will look for adverts that can be attached to each video at a fee to sustain the operations of the TV and relay content free to the persons at the base of the pyramid. We work with people of goodwill to adopt a Village Learning Entrepreneurship Association (VELA) by buying it a solar TV, smartphone, amplifier and sponsoring training for a Youth Agripreneur Champion (YAC) to manage the knowledge and information dissemination. This business has workers at four levels: researchers who collect, develop and package agribusiness content and also look for advert information, the crew that shots the videos, the Youth Agripreneur Champions at village level who disseminate the information and collect feedback and the administrators that analyse the feedback and guide content for subsequent videos or inform the advertisers and customer demands and comments. By the end of 2019 we want to be in 500/57,000 villages in Uganda.
