The challenge addressed here is the use of firewood and wood charcoal for cooking and the accumulation of human waste in boarding schools and communities.The firewood usage has a direct impact on the tree cutting which has been sited as one of the main factors for global warming.The human waste fill up has led to continuous need for land for latrine construction.
Installing the biotoilets comes with 3 goals on the climate factor;reduced tree cut down due to alternative cooking source of biogas,reduced need for land and reconstructions due a self emptying toilet facility and reduced need for national gride electricity and water due to the generator fuelling and the water recycling system.All these will in one way or the other promote afforestation and reduced environmental pollution.
