Within this project, the Сhuguev Human Rights Group will monitor the protection and support of local community initiatives, advocate for the improvement of legal norms and policies, as well as provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons in Kharkiv oblast. In our work, we strengthen the capacity of civil society to direct and control the implementation of legal norms, strategies and policies in the areas of migration, asylum, statelessness and internal displacement.In order to better understand the needs of displaced persons and facilitate their access to services and programs that will enable them to meet these needs, the project team will monitor community protection and outreach activities in the Kharkiv region. Advocacy, communication and information components of the project are aimed at facilitating legislative and political response to the needs of displaced persons and other vulnerable groups in Ukraine, as well as providing information support to conflict victims and communities.
