People should stop buying fuel-dependent cars. This is possible if the government increases the registration fee of all private cars, toll fees, and taxes of car manufacturers/importers and/or totally halts the import of those types of cars. Public vehicles will not be affected if the implementation of the policy will be supervised accordingly.
Alternatively, we can promote the import and production of green cars or eco-friendly cars among importers/manufacturers and the use of alternative fuels by extensive information campaign among schools and industries, tax rebates, NGO’s and LGU’s partnerships, and engaging in the policy-making body of the Philippine’s legislative.
