My solution will be beneficial to the people in the rural areas by enlightening and showing them the market value of their produce, the idea of the rich feeding on them the poor will be minimized, when a farmer sees a means to export, transport or take his/her farm produce to the urban market himself/herself and realizes the value of it, it will motivate them to increase they rate of farming and eliminate they era of waiting for the people in urban to come to them. and this idea will help to bring a mutual relationship between people of the urban and rural.
This idea was initiated way back in 2011, when i visited the northern part of Nigeria as a service corp member, i was able to interact with the youths and women in that locality, i observed that almost all of them don't have any means of taking their goods/produce away from their village, they had to wait for the easterners and westerners and southerners to come to them and purchase the goods from them on weekly market at a low price, and making a huge profit on them, the cattle herdsmen will migrate on foot spend months on the track road going to other part of the country to sale their goods there by endangering their lives to wide animals and theft all because there is poor means of trade between the rural and urban area.
Life they say is a precious gift from God but life living on a meager is a punishment to the life itself, monkey dey work baboon dey chop is a cheating to humanity, if only this solution can be considered and looks into, i believe that a new era of fresh living will emerge there in the northern part of Nigeria, where our women will voluntarily and on they own decide on when, how and at the rate they will sale their produce, i believe that this my little idea will be considered and looked into since the government is not willing to provide any means of transportation of goods between this regions for ease access of trade to make the live of this people meaningful and worthwhile.
There is a saying that what is good for goose is good for the gander, what is good to the people in the urban area is also good to the people in the rural, but their only problem is a means of going there.
