Use of Fossil fuels has been a major contribution to Climate change.This has lead to global warming and some calamities due to unusual climate changes.However,Microbial fuel cells(MFCs) is a new technology that enhances generation of electricity from sewage water at the same time treating it.
This is like killing two birds with one stone as Sewage water is cleaned and Energy is generated.
Mfcs energy is Clean and does not have any emmissions.
It leads to reduction of the Biochemical oxygen demand and Chemical oxygen demand of Sewage water and thus it can be disposed to the environment without harming it.
Mfcs too help in production of hydrogen and thus as the Technology World is evolving and Hydrogen cars are being produced this can be a breakthrough as reduction of use of Petroleum products will help to reduce emissions that lead to global warming
