Taxis in Kampala constitute a big proportion of small vehicles in town most of which are old and poorly serviced. This state can be characterized by increasing mechanical breakdowns, alarming poor sanitation, faulty lights, contorted mirrors, obsolete tires and steering wheels, overloading of passengers and dirty seats. This has led to unnecessary traffic congestion consequently leading to high carbon emissions into the atmosphere per vehicle and time in transit, polluting the environment greatly. My idea will seek to regulate the system by providing a virtual market where taxi operators can access training, mentoring, cheap maintenance coststo fight the emission of carbon gases into the environment to save the climate.
