Globally, according to the World Health Organization, 9 out of 10 people breathe polluted air, 7 million people die annually from problems associated with pollution, generating a global cost of 225 billion dollars.
We are concerned about this massive problem and we thought about a solution using the process of photosynthesis carried out by plants as an inspiration. Photio was created.
Photio is a nanoparticles liquid complex, that added to paint, asphalt or concrete, eliminate the gases that produce air pollution.Photio can be used in buildings and houses, because the degradation of the pollutants is generated on the surface of the place where the paint was applied when it came into contact with UV radiation, promoting a photocatalysis process, that transforms toxic gases into completely inert compounds.
Using Photio on building facades, immediately decreases the concentration of pollutants in the vicinity of the place of application. At the moment, with Photio we can degrade at least 10 different air pollutants.
