We have experimented with prepackaged planted and manured to maturity casings of plants that we would give to urban farmers as a case and they just need to place the case somewhere at the house and simply water and the plant will grow to maturity.
Our plan is to make it easy to grow food in the home. This way we bypass the need to make everyone into an expert and provide our plant case fitted with drip irrigation set up where they simply need to put water and wait for maturity.
We believe our first goal is to make it real to them that food production in the home is easy. We would then target the enthusiastic ones and teach them how to make cases with proper content to make plants grow to maturity
The plants we have targeted for our project mature in 3-4 months and are pretty simple even for a child to manage.

This is what's needed for Africa. Through observation and participation, we will actually educate our people on food security and how to do it for themselves.
