With only 10,000 consumers, RayCord will be able to save 8 trees, reduce carbon emissions by almost 7 metric tonnes, and impact lives.
This is will be done by replacing paper-based Hospital Folders with RayCord electronic folder. Each Nigerian paper-based Hospital Folder is responsible for almost 700g of carbon equivalent. This high number is due to the lack of adequate paper production in Nigeria. Over 70% of the paper consumed in Nigeria is imported from Asia, mostly China.
Also, with RayCord, patients could chat up doctors outside working hours and get medical attention and even prescription. This will cut down their (patients) frequent transit to hospital which will also reduce carbon concentrations.
