Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

About Solution

The first time I heard the word reduce, reuse recycle was when i was in grade 3. It

was an advert made by DsTV in order to encourage and educate kids on the virtues of

taking care of the plane. It was this advert that lead to my first green week organized

by my school. The idea got stuck into our heads mostly because there were no

classes for the first two periods that week but it was a moment not to forget.

Sometimes the basic and simplest ideas are the best solutions to most problems

which is why I believe that through education, support and employment my project will

not just only reduce the amount of waste in the surrounding environment in Nigeria but

also educate the youth and even adults on the virtues of reduce, reuse and recycle

and show them the danger of pollutions from inappropriately discarded waste. I plan

on promoting values by creating a company that target these minor issues that can

lead to a big change. People believe that until they use a million dollar innovation or

technology, they won’t be able to find or solve the problem which is climate change

but all it takes is just a visit to the preliminary basic activities which in this case will

lead to a huge impact if taken serious at a large scale. Project reduce, reuse and

recycle hopes to bring this ideology to a huge scale in such a way that Nigeria will be

changed environmentally. The effects on Nigeria will be extremely impactful if taken

very seriously and we hope to spread our notions to other parts of the world and

eventually to the rest of the world and share the result of our handwork and show the

benefits and virtues of it.

I hope I have been able to share my vision and show an insight into the effect and

merits of my project. I am very grateful to have participated in this contest which

allows me to show and share my ideas to the world.
