INTRODUCTION
Uncontrolled use and insensitive way of disposing plastic is one of the major causes of environment degradation in the world today and in turn it degrades our life.in Uganda less than 5% of plastic is recycled yet Plastic can take over 450 years to decompose completely and Uganda does not have any serious environment laws on plastics watse management and the existing laws are never enforced.
They are left in our rural areas, gardens and wetlands uncollected causing serious threat to agriculture, water and soil pollution.
Plastic pollution is the major cause of water contamination in our lakes causing serious threat to marine life. A school of thought believes that plastic pollution kills more people than malaria and HIV/AIDS combined. A study suggests that about 14% of children between the ages of eight and 14 living in Kampala have bronchial asthma.
Uganda does not have any serious environment laws on burning plastics and the existing laws are never enforced.
After few decades, it will cost millions of dollars to clean up the polluted land, water and air, not forgetting the health problems they could have caused in those years. Excessive pollution will drastically affect the tourism industry, thus causing loss of millions of dollars to Uganda.

With my project model tittled "SAVE UGANDA`S NATURE FROM PLASTIC" am aiming at turning plastic wastes in both urban and semi urban areas into diesel and kerosene through the process of plastic pyrolysis. https://www.pyrolysisplant.com/what-is-pyrolysis
Through this project model am going to develop a simple pyrolysis plant (length = 9 feet width 5 feet and height 6 feet). and it will be able to covert 1 tonne of plastic waste daily. that is close to 360 tonnes of plastic waste a year.
Once this model is successful local communities will be able to collect and sell off their plastic wastes to earn a living thus fighting poverty
This model project once successful will be able to employee over 150 youth thus fighting unemployment among in local communities.
THE PROJECT IS EXPECTED TO CONSUME 15000$
