It is evident that currently in Zambia we are experiencing a lot power cuts( Load-shedding) for over 10 hours in some areas. Most of the household are having their frozen products spoil and have to buy food per daily basis especially meats. The smoked food processing will make a difference because fresh food products such as Fish, meat, Chicken and goats can last longer and can be consumed in a variety of ways.
smoking of products preserves food, gives food stuffs a unique taste, and becoming more appetizing. as a result, I will be creating food security as well as adding value to already existing products.
Most households will not have to throw away food stuff because it cant be consumed any more.
This will be done using the cheapest resources, and smoking pieces.
With the current economy i will assist a lot of households to preserve food stuff and create job opportunities for women in my community.
