Abobo, with more than two million inhabitants, is one of the

Most polluted towns in the Ivory Coast. The Abobolese are grappling with significant problems of sanitation and disorderly accumulation of Garbage in public spaces. This situation creates proliferation of malaria and waterborne diseases.

This unique project will integrate environmental issues with social and economic issues.

It offers populations the tools necessary to be essential players in civic society with municipal authorities and contributes to a healthy and healthy living environment. Our association includes more than 500 women collectors and pre-collectors who collect recyclable plastic objects in order to sell them to be transformed into a watering can or paving stone and other materials for the construction of houses. The organic matter harvested will be transformed into compost, with biodigesters and ready to be used as a fertilizer for vegetable production or sold outside and allow them to increase their income. We can use the collected waste to make biogas to supply us with electricity. It is estimated that these women collect around 11 tonnes of waste per day.Significant efforts will be made to revitalize the waste management system.this project will bring lasting socio-economic changes and will ensure a sustainable environment, in particular by improving the lives of the inhabitants of poor neighborhoods. We believe that progress can be made, particularly in the direction of rational management of solid household waste.
