Through Intensive Public Education, the citizens of Ghana will learn to segregate their waste, care for their environment and keep their surroundings clean.
The provision of efficient waste collection services will ensure that people have the opportunity for their waste taken them, ultimately reducing open burning in Ghana.
The curriculum will provide a set of desired core competencies, attitudes, skills and standards that learners need to know, understand and demonstrate in order to take responsibility for climate change and the environment. It aims at producing competent, reflective, concerned and participatory citizens who are conscious of how to maintain and sustain the environment for posterity.
Recycling and composting of waste will ensure that waste isreused rather than thrown away, and waste from one industrial process becomes input into another.
