About Solution

I am Achi Justance Falone Ngu, born and raised in Muea. I am currently a student at Écloe Supérieur de Gestion (ESG), Douala; studying Finance in hopes of someday owning a business.

I have lived in Muea for most of my life and constantly thinking of innovative ways to transform how my community live and operate to their day to day activity. I want to make life simpler for the old and the young, which is why this funding opportunity would help bring that vision to light. With this funding, i will be able to empower our youths by providing them with employment opportunities and most importantly flexibility for the masses.

I am considering the introduction of a new means of transport called “keke Napep” In the Southwest region of Cameroon as well as the Littoral region where the cost of transportation is expensive and bikes have been restricted from working in particular areas and at particular hours.

The keke napep was first introduced in Nigeria as a poverty alleviation scheme and it has served its purpose as many Nigerian youths have become gainfully employed and the country is experiencing economic growth.

Living in the suburbs, I faced a lot of difficulties with transportation as taxi fares became expensive and bikes were restricted from working in particular areas. Trekking became a hobby for both the old and the young. Also, I noticed the transportation cost in Douala isn’t favorable for university students who live far from the campus which is one of the reasons why my sister got me a house closer to school so as to reduce cost. Hence, introducing the keke Napep will be of great advantage to students and the community at large.

This means of transport is profitable, affordable and has no seasonal limitation. It is going to reduce the rate of unemployment since people will be employed to ride the bikes, there will be easy transportation and an increase in economic development.

Also, the birth and expansion of this project will lead to the introduction of other poverty alleviation projects like micro finance institutions.
