Green Island should be a vast land a country sets aside for afforestation and the recycling of waste into consumables or finished products. The Green Island project would create a heavy awareness. This would be because people would begin to see how serious the government takes climate change. It will also help reduce job unemployment at a large scale as well as providing a country with alternatives to increase their GDP. They can get this by focusing on the exportation of some of the recycled materials. Such as plastic to wool. Wool would be needed mainly in countries the weather is relatively very harsh..
Also if a country finally gives into the green island initiative, a large reduction in the drilling of oil would be affected because it won't be the countries main source of international trade. A reduction in the creation of oil wells will see a large reduction in water pollution and gas flaring. Laws should also be in place to restrict all forms of bush burning.
The introduction of green island would bring about education of the masses due to jobs in need of specific skills. A green island in at least 5 countries on a continent such as Africa would save hundreds of lives and bring about multitudes of benefits
