Through effective transportation network, goods and services produced in the urban areas can be transported to the rural communities.When people living in the rural areas have access to these goods and services, they will use the opportunity to increase their access to new supply chains and market in other to create better livelihood for themselves. Without good roads, commercial activities in the rural areas will be hindered greatly. Even people in the nearby communities who produce certain Agricultural products will find it difficult to convey them to the market to sale and make gain in a poor transportation network. They will produce but difficulties in transportation becomes a problem.So there is need for a good transportation network within the community and also for roads linking the communities and the state.
Furthermore, this could also be achieved by building good roads. When there is good road linking the rural communities and villages with the towns and urban centers, it will ease the movement of goods and services within these areas. The Government can help by building good road network mostly for roads linking the rural communities. By doing so, goods and services can reach the rural communities with ease and at a reduced cost.this will make the rural communities increase their access to new supply chains and market in order to create better livelihood for themselves.
In addition, the can achieve this by engaging themselves in intensive Agriculture and Animal husbandry.By practicing effective agriculture, like production of palm oil , palm kernel, cassava for garri making. The planting of cocoa, cotten , rice production in large quantities, production of melon, etc.When these products are produced in large quantities, they will be processed and final the produce are produced. These product are brought out from the farms to the processing centers and after processing , the will be pushed to the market for sales.When these products are sold , farmers will make profit thereby increasing their access to new supply chain and market in order to create better livelihood for themselves.
Consequently,. they can also achieve this by building shops in the market environment to create market for the Agricultural products produced. Since there is good market for the Agricultural products produced, the farmers will make profit after saleing their finished products.Shops are needed to accommodate more traders coming to buy and sale within the rural communities. when these shops are built, the should be registered.
