One of the major solution that will address world major challenge as it relates to Climate change will be to encourage and support this project. The world is in dire needs about 3 billion trees to help regain its climate the adverse effects of global warming caused by human factors, industrialization, and depletion of ozone layers etc.
Climate change is a global phenomenal challenge that is attributed on changes in weather conditions caused by constant depletion of the ozone layer, melting of glacier, due to fossil fuels and green house gases. Frantic efforts has to be made globally to reduce the negative consequences of Climate change and tree planting which help to regain loss vegetative land is one of the global world project that will help address the scourge.
Farmers/herders clash and migration of Cattles from northern part of Nigeria to Southern part in search of glass can be largely be addressed by planting more trees in the regaining these already lost vegetative lands and thus to help increase rainfall within these arid regions.
Our project envisage to plant about 500,000 economical tree in Bichi Community, Kano State and desert encroached site with border of Jigawa State and Sahara desert. The project will help as a stepping stone toward providing lasting solution to world problem on Climate change.
It will be sustained as within year of being successfully planted and tendered, it will yield fruits that will be sold to empower the community, create business opportunities in exporting these fruits and reduce unemployment problems within the beneficial project community. It will be a gradual pilot phased project, as it is expected that within 5 years of implementation, the resultant effect will be tremendous. It will also support the current Great Green Wall Project of the Federal Ministry of Environment with other neighboring African countries.
Part of the project activities will be to encourage each household on "Own a Tree Campaign", It will be part of the advocacy campaign that will encourage individual house owners plant trees in their homes.
