When people want to store dry food, the can put in ubutala which has a roof. The reason why it is kept atleast 80cm above it prevents rodents from evading the food which is stored in it. And it should made of grass to allow air circulation in order to reduce moisture content. Food can at least be stored for some days without getting damaged. This system can be used anywhere but more especially in areas where fridges can not be used due to absence of electricity supply.
It is also very cheep to construct and manage.
