About Solution

According to the UN, access to safe and clean water and sanitation facilities is key for the achievement of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and indeed goal 6 of the agenda focuses on this. In many developing counties like Uganda, access to safe water and sanitation facilities is still a big challenge. Therefore supporting vulnerable village communities in Uganda through provision safe water and sanitation will improve peoples lives, help the country implement SDG but also address goal 13 that seeks to avert climate change through increased climate action.

The solution we offer shall entail promoting investment in adequate infrastructure for rural communities such as boreholes, rehabilitation of spring wells; provide sanitation facilities; and encourage hygiene at every level of the community. Our solution shall also encourage protection and restoring of water-related ecosystems such as forests, mountains, wetlands and rivers is essential to mitigate water scarcity in rural Uganda while protecting the environment. We shall organize village communities into water groups and also capacity build these communities on environment protection through climate smart agriculture practices.
