Healthy meals are the cause of healthy metabolism but food today is laden with toxics and Chemical fertilizers which causes major health risks. Fertilizers such as Ammonium Nitrate, cadmium, Pottasium Chloride, Organophosphate, Pyrethroids, etc are used to protect vegetables/fruits to protect against pest or premature decay which can become one of the causes of harmful disease like cancer. Fruits/Veggies which are served to our plates travel along distance before it is consumed. In that process, people mix a lot of chemicals to increase their shelf life. So a question arises that are we consuming healthy, A frequent answer would be no. So, to beat up this problem YourMaali has landed in the market to solve this problem of a large scale.
We aim to grow veggies/fruits on the rooftops by working upon the techniques of organic farming using raised beds and cocopeat as a base material. Here again, the challenge arises of water irrigation which is required in the planters in a heavy amount. Here our startup is powered by sense green technology and its potential is to save 80% of water wastage and hence allows the raised beds to hold or retain the water up to a month in single irrigation which is our Uniqueness.
Another challenge is to fulfill the requirement of food to every individual. Our strategy takes stand where we can grow up to 6-8 Kgs of veggies/fruits every day which is sufficient for 4-5 members family. If 1 lack residentials are growing their own vegetables they can harvest up to 700 tonnes of vegetables every day togetherly. In this chain, if an individual could donate a Kg of vegetable every day means 100 tonnes of vegetables is donated. And therefore those 100 tonnes of vegetables would be sufficient for 20,000 families.
Hence we are developing a sustainable ecosystem by beating up more than 3 problems like growing fresh chemical-free veggies/fruits, saving water, fulfilling the food requirements of needy people which are one of the biggest problems of our Industry.
