MeshPoint is a rugged and autonomous WiFi hotspot designed to provide instant internet access in adverse conditions, suitable for crisis situations and outdoor use. MeshPoint is the winner of The Best Humanitarian tech at Europe’s most prestigious tech startup awards “The Europas”, we were awarded a prize in OECD’s Social Innovation Competition, and received a grant from The Shuttleworth Foundation. Google named MeshPoint project leader Valent Turković one of New Europe 100 Challengers, as one of the leading world-class innovators in Europe. MeshPoint is a part of the Techfugees community. MeshPoint has autonomy of more that 24h and can be operated by non-trained people, it enabled refugees and first responders to build large scale wifi mesh networks in matter of minutes.
