Indoor CO2 buildup in offices is a serious issue, as CO2 levels regularly rise beyond the safety limit on a daily basis. The problem is getting worse each year, as we further pollute our atmosphere. In large cities indoor air quality of office buildings suffers the most due to pollutants like smog, haze and dust present in the outside air. Consequently, the current ventilation solutions are being stretched to their breaking point. The aim of our startup is to harness microalgae to purify indoor air, without the need to bring in a lot of outside air, effectively establishing a closed loop of indoor air re-circulation. This would drastically improve both indoor air quality as well as save substantial maintenance and electrical costs associated with current HVAC solutions.
