Road accidents among the less developed countries are on the increase but not much solutions could be found. What I would like to propose is an on-board system that will continuously detect all dangerous or reckless driving behaviors so that it will generate a warning signal to the driver (and others in the vicinity) when such behaviors reached a predetermined dangerous level.
With such early warning, the driver himself could make a necessary action to avoid accident; and other drivers in the same section of the road could also avoid being in close vicinity of that problematic car and may make a report to the police as well.
This driving detection system is based on my 15 years old invention (Thailand Patent Number 22708) that had been disclosed in international publications (Thinking Highways magazine, Vol 2 Issue 3, Q3/2007; and the IEEE magazine Opinion Section, June 2007), and also presented to the international conference (Proceeding of the 15th International Road Federation World Meeting, June 2005) so that the world at large could take it to the next stage; but, sadly, nothing much had been achieved up to now, not even in my own country when I attempted to offer it for free to the three previous and present governments, except maybe a somewhat toned down version "Attention Assist" system recently introduced by Mercedes Benz and a few other car manufacturers.
