Yemen is at greater risk than any war, a threat to future generations of more diseases, with a massive rubbish pile of 10 million tons of rubbish, thanks to a nearby waste treatment and recycling plant that leaks toxic waste into its diminishing supplies Of groundwater around the Yemeni capital of Sanaa.

Since June and December of last year, the factory has been subjected to heavy shelling, which has helped create stinky pools from the rubbish dump, partly due to untreated medical waste at the mountain's high base, threatening to contaminate the water supply of the city

Experts have long speculated that Sana'a will be the first capital to use all available water.

"The main problem we are facing is that now waste management in Yemen has caused us a real danger to the public health of the population, to pollute groundwater and pollute the soil," said Khalid al-Thawr, professor of oil and environment at Sana'a University.

Academics warn that waste compartments contain dangerous chemicals that warn of disease outbreaks.

Professor Mohammad Al-Kahali, head of science and technology at Sanaa University's Faculty of Science, warned that these chemicals can cause many diseases.

"If we enter the groundwater of the basin of Sanaa, it will be more dangerous to future generations because, as we said, its chemical content is so dangerous that it causes many diseases, including cancers, congenital malformations, immunodeficiency and many diseases," he said.
