As-Salaam-Alaikum! Good Morning Sir! It’s good to be back here in the 3rd Challenge. Its about Rural Transformation and Zero Hunger. I am Sandy Bacarro Orencia from Philippines. In this Challenge is about How can farmers in less developed countries sustainably increase food and cash crop yields?
Our Country is one of the supplier and export of Banana, Pineapple, Corn, Sugar Cane, Coffee, Tomato, Mango, Rice, Cocoa and more. Our Government is implemented this method to help our farmers by providing and supplying seeds and fertilizer in order to sustain and increase food and cash crop yields. Farmers need financing program from the Government with a small interest rate per annum for them to use to buy seeds, fertilizer, rice mill machinery ,for irrigation, for building strong soils and improving soil fertility is the key to sustainable scale farmers can double food production within 10 to 20 years in critical. I have some old photo of me and my family in Malaybalay Bukidnon home of Rice Farm, Pineapple and more this was last 2008, I was driving and checking the rice farm of my in laws that was Pawn for many years because of financial difficulties. More than 10 hectares of Rice farm. My late Father in law is a farmer and he takes me to their farm that was pawn for many years to show me if I can help in find ways to claim it back. Until today January 12, 2019 never claim it back because of Financial Difficulties. I wish I could hopefully soon Inshallah! The land is very good, flat and it has irrigation to supply water even there is no rain or drought. Rice is the primary and one of the most common staple food and making it an important component of our food in everyday in our lives. Example In our daily lives we buy 1 50 kilos of sacks of rice and we consume it for 30 days. The Price of rice is increasing and it is good for business selling rice in per kilo and per sacks and good for export.

Your Highness Mohammed Bin Rashid I am very happy to share what our Government practicing this method for years in this matter Initiative for the Global Prosperity for helping the farmers by providing Seeds, Fertilizers and Irrigation. Farmers need financing program from the Government that is very low in interest per annum for them to use to buy what they need in order to sustain and increase food and cash crop yields.
