More than 50% of the world population has no access to the internet, which can be breakdown to following smaller challenges:
1. No internet service provider in the underserved communities.
Solution: Satellite Internet access provides fixed, portable, and mobile Internet access. we can provide the entire county with access to the internet with a single installation.
2. Marginalized communities cannot afford personal computers.
Solution: Freedom 251, the world's cheapest smartphone, costs under $4.
3. Barriers to digital literacy, education, and economic opportunities.
Solution: STEM education provides the most employable skill set and leads to promising economic opportunities. We can record or download a bunch of STEM course videos, provide translation in local languages, and then save the courses onto micro SD cards which can be read by the smartphones. We can also organize a video library to distribute and exchange the micro SD cards.
