Around 3 billion people cook and heat their homes using polluting fuels (i.e. wood, coal, dung, kerosene) and inefficient technologies. Cooking and heating with polluting fuels and technologies produces high levels of household air pollution which includes a range of health damaging pollutants such as fine particles and carbon monoxide.
According to WHO, around 3.8 million people a year die from the exposure to household air pollution. This household air pollution comes from a variety of sources, and includes a wide range of gases, chemicals and other substances. The smart gas manager we are building will aloow a lot of people to access clean cooking system, retailers to optimize their stock and end consumer to sustainably pay month in, month out.
